Paint Chemistry

A new post from a chemical production stuffed with pipes, tanks, and reactors. This time it is a paint factory.

During the aerial reconnaissance, I noticed a camera on the roof of the shop and memorized its viewing angle. At night when we approached the shop, avoiding the angle of its view. When we approached the shop, we realized that the camera was looking at us. Fortunately, the bright spotlight under it was shining in the other direction and was probably shining in. The shop with a camera has been hollowed out. We managed to go up to the roof and look at the camera. It turned out it had a turning mechanism.
Then, standing on the roof, we heard wolves howling from the forest surrounding the factory. A dawn was breaking. By then we had more or less explored the plant, and with the first rays of sunshine we went to take pictures of the preserved parts of production.
The factory produced many types of products, but only two shops for the production of varnishes and enamels have survived. In this post, there will be photos from them.
Everything is as usual: on top, there are reservoirs for raw materials, and from there the technological stages of production go down.
The control panel was too small.
The lab area for intermediate product control.
A disassembled pump room on the intermediate floor.
Dirty pipes and valves.
First floor. Barrels for finished products, from where they are pumped for packing.
The workshops outside. That morning was calm and mild.
The absorption unit.
Of course, a trestle. Everyone loves trestles in chemical plants.
Jungled material storage.
Bonus: drone photos. Find a camera :)
Until we meet again!
